In general OS X supports PostScript printers - plus various Inkjets. Historically it did not support PCL as a standard although I don't know if this is still true.

As this printer does not support PostScript then not only might that explain the complete absence of any Mac drivers, but it also explains why it cannot revert to using the 'generic' PostScript driver which would normally work with all PostScript printers.
I therefore suspect you are on to a lost cause.
One option to consider is that it again historically it has been possible to run a software PostScript 'RIP' (Raster Image Processor) which would accept PostScript commands and render or 'rasterise' the result and then send that as a plain bitmap to the printer. So this approach would involve buying a software PostScript RIP and making that the 'shared' print queue.
Otherwise you should consider a different more capable Konica-Minolta model like the BizHub C284e.
